The Lunar New Year or Chinese New Year is fast approaching! Something I have long celebrated even before I met my part Taiwanese hubby. ;P
So in honor of that I will be revisiting Chinese zodiac inspired drawings for the next six days. There might even be something new on the last day!
Today is an honorary member of the series that is actually a part of the Birds of a Feather Series from 2008. The Magpie from Magpie's Wedding was based on a magpie from the local Bird Learning and Training Center, or BirdTLC, named Rooster. And because many Asian cultures consider magpies to by symbols of happiness, something I always wish for people over the new year, in my mind Magpie has just always been my Year of the Rooster candidate.
Now I would like to some day draw a proper Rooster for Year of the Rooster. How about it? Would you guys be interested in me drawing a proper Rooster and/or completing the Chinese Zodiac series? Let me know by commenting and liking!
