Since I missed Wen, and its and hour after midnight into Friday, you guys are getting two ancient art posts today. This first one, Relaxed in Blue, is marked adult however for artistic nudity though you really don't see much.
Also from 2002, done in painting class. One of my all time favorite paintings I ever did and I still have it.The model was bloody amazing. She was a swimmer and had these beuatifuly defined and well muscled legs. So while everyone else did portraits of her face.... I focused on her knee.
Yes, I am an odd duck.
I also had one heck of a fight with my painting teacher over the hand holding the book. I ended up throwing my rag and brush at her and she finally showed me what it was I was doing wrong instead of constantly repeating, "I don't like it. Do it again," without saying what it was that she didn't like, or what I needed to do to fix it, no matter how much I asked her to explain.
After that we were on much better terms oddly enough and we had finally come to a mutually beneficial understanding.
Here is the second ancient bit of art sharing today. Another 2002 oil painting from painting class. Done in French Greys (with some red conte underneight the paint) useing both brush and pallete knife. Unfortunately the photo does not do the texture on it justice.
