Closet Collapse

New art posts are going to be delayed a day or two as I have to take care of an unexpected and unplanned for project. Woke up to my closet collapsing in on itself. It has been two+ years since my husband and I moved into this house. I never made any changes to the closet aside adding a mirror and dresser in there (which both where buried in the collapse). Not sure why the closet decided to give out now. I'll have to investigate and inspect it all after work today.

Silver lining, I will get to show off my carpentry skills again. I love working with my hands, fixing things, and a well planned and finely crafted bit of construction is as much a work of art as a Van Gough to me. Now admittedly things do not always work as they should and with this house I have had to get quiet creative with some of the repairs. To some this is pretty low brow and not art at all. But it is. It's functional art. And there is a lot of fine art out there where you can see the history of how the artist got to their final peice in the final peice. The flaws, the eraser marks, the paint overs that show through... These little imperfects not only show enginuity but are what make the art interesting, fresh, and perfect in its own way. My home, like my art, reflects this. I am equally as proad of the patched drywall as I am of the latest digital peice.

Obviously, I didn't build the closet or this collapse would not have happened. But now I get to rebuild it bigger, better, stronger, faster....

Hopefully it doesn't cost a million dollars to do so. ^^;
