Woot! I still live!
Introducing the fifth (if
you include the honorary 40K entry) entry, and possibly the last for the
girls any way (might do a run with males, not sure yet), in my 'Hanged
Man' series. In 2019 I started doing posters for each Arctic Comic Con,
an Alaskan Comic Book and Fan Convention. Each was to represent a fine
lady from each of the major comic book companies. I have done one for
Marvel, DC, and Image.
Today is Dark Horse!
And the only villain (again, if you don't count the honorary member) in the series.
Say hello to Vanya Hargreeves, aka Number 7, aka the White Violin.
This
character is not my cup of tea. I rather dislike both the comic book
and television/netflix versions. Yeah, yeah I know your suppose to
dislike villains. But there is a difference between dislike them as a
character and dislike them because they are an amazing villain. Poor
Violin failed me on the later. And yes the two separate media versions
are quiet different from each other. However, the visuals of her were
often mesmerizing and well done and there is so much cool fan art of her
out there. So I took aspects from both versions, and put my own
personal twist on her as if shw was an anime antagonist.
.... and I honestly think it came out as one of my favorite images I have done.
